Our aim with this blog

I'm assuming that a blog is sort of like a journal.  No major agenda ... just what comes to mind. That is certainly the format here.  Though I've never been very successful with journaling, like most bloggers who are just starting out, I have good intentions.  We'll see.  My hope though, is to enable you to experience, in some measure, the sights and sounds, the thoughts and ways of this fascinating land and its people.

Sitting in front of a computer is intimidating to me.  I'm far more Teutonic than "techie". But by God's grace I'm going to persevere, because it is all so worth describing.

"Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them.  Full of splendor and majesty is His work, and His righteousness endures forever."  Psalm 111:2-3

"Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable.  One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.  On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.  They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.  The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.  The LORD is good to all, and His mercy is over all that He has made."  Psalm 145:3-9
